St. Patricks Day!

March 17 is St. Patrick's Day! It's quickly approaching. Many of you may be thinking, "okay, cool?" YES! St. Patrick's Day is cool! Every holiday is cool! It gives us a reason (as if we need one) to dress up, throw a fun get together, and have a great time! So, here is a quick overview of St. Patrick's Day in case you need one. It started in Ireland, as a religious holiday. But, countries all over the world have adapted it and made it into its own unique thing. In America, it is usually symbolized by the color green, pots of gold, 4 leaf clovers, and leprechauns. But, it also means that tons of people will be having fun events to celebrate. I know that sometimes it hard to figure out what to wear to these events. But, sometimes the fun of these events isn't what you wear but your hair and makeup.

It's traditional to wear green, some people pinch you if you don't wear green. So green is definitely a way to go, but hair and makeup always complete the look!
For hair, simple is definitely the way to go. Nobody wants to spend hours on their hair, just to worry about it the whole party. That stops you from having fun. Plus, with the weather getting nicer (in most places) you might be outside a lot. Leaving your hair down and natural is always a go to fast method. Adding a quick B&G bow adds a focal point without being too over the top. The Green Goodness Bow is super cute, isn't too over the top, and has a bit of other colors in it to help match whatever you decide to wear. Using the same bow, you could put your hair in a quick ponytail and add the bow to cover the no crease B&G elastic.

With people paying so much attention to your hair, you want to make sure that your makeup looks good too. Here are a few quick tips to follow.
If you are planning on doing face painting (usually available at these events), then don't wear too much foundation. It will smear and mess up the painting, and if they remove the foundation from one spot for the design, you might become 2 different colors.
Don't add to much glitter. Don't get me wrong, glitter is fun! But if you have glittery bronzer, glittery eyeshadow, glittery lipgloss, and anything else with glitter it can be a bit too much.
Don't be afraid to have fun! You may not normally wear green eye shadow, but it's completely acceptable on St. Patrick's Day. Green lipstick could also be an option. I've even seen green fake eyelashes! But, have fun!

No matter what you do to celebrate, or what you wear, be sure to have fun! Everybody will remember how much fun you had, no necessarily what makeup you had on.

Enjoy!
